Classroom Hives has been placing observation honey bee hives in New England K-12 classrooms, higher education institutions, and centers for informal learning since 2001. Our modular design for these self-contained habitats safely makes small honey bee colonies a daily experience. We aim to help educators foster student observation, inquiry, and fascination with these critically important insects.
